Cold sore?

Not sure if this is a cold sore as never had one. Been getting a tingly feeling in my upper lip for the past few days, and now a little raised area is forming on it, looks kind of red.

How do I treat it too if that's what it is? Useless I know Grin

Get some acyclovir on it asap. It's zovoirax but the generic version so much cheaper. Once it's blistered it won't work.

If it’s your first time expirencing this see a dr. Some meds taken on the first occurrence can decrease the likelihood of repeat cold sores.
Meanwhile no performing oral sex just in case.

Damnit can't get to a chemist til tomorrow lunch time. It will have to wait til then I guess. Never had cold sores before, but sadly just moved home so not registered with a gp yet.

As long as there is no medical reason for you not to take it, a single aspirin in the morning and evening for 1-2 days will probably stop it coming up fully in the first place. Then your immune system will deal with it. That works best if its still in its early stages and still tingling and just about to come up.

Bonjela. Best tip I've ever had. My coldsores don't even fully develop now if applied at first tingle.

Ah cool cheers for the tip on the aspirin. Will take that too.
