Low vitamin D and B12

Myusername2015 · 12/05/2018 08:57

After extreme tiredness I paid for some private blood tests...iron profile came back within normal ranges but vitamin b12 was 188 pmol/L (normal range 250-369) and vitamin D (25 hydroxy) at 23-(normal range 50-200)
The interpretation of these results is vague and just says could benefit from supplementation..but what does this mean ? Would a general multivitamin suffice or is there any good places to buy these separate vitamins in higher doses? Thanks

I doubt a multivitamin will do much. They're more for ... Maintenance I guess.

Buy sublingual methylcobalamin supplements for your B12 and individual Vitamin D at a high dose.

Amazon is good or Holland & Barrett.

Hi, when I was diagnosed with very low vitamine D (because of thyroid problems) I was put on a 3-4 month course of high dosage vitamine D (+ K because I am menopausal). An OTC supplement will not be enought to get you back into a healthy range.
A lot of little niggling ailments I had and put down to ageing went away (muscle pain, exhaustion, problems with concentration etc.)
