Hi All,
I have just picked a copy of my blood results from GP. It shows very low levels of MCHC and ?MHC. I have left it in the car otherwise I could have posted a pic. But both are so low it's off the chart. MCHC 204 I think.

For the last 3 months I have been very unwell and barely able to get up in the morning and go to work. When I do manage to get to work I can just about do half a shift.

I have been in and out of the Dr surgery but as my gp is off they have put a 'prescriber' in his place and I think he just does repeat prescriptions. So he hasn't been looking into my results.

Anyway last week when I fainted my friend took me to a/e. And the dr there gave me a 2ww referral as I explained to him I had been unwell for 3 months with a period which has lasted more then 8 weeks amongst other symptoms.

Now I am very worried- please can someone advice.

Sorry for the long post.

TIA

I think it means anaemia and the severity levels of it.

I’m not a Dr btw.

Hope that you feel better soon.

Thank you for the reply. I thought it might be anaemia (google dr). But no one has explained it to me- now I'm thinking cancer 😟

MCH is your mean corpuscular haemoglobin. A low value means your red blood cells do not have as much haemoglobin in them as normal. This is because your body doesn't have enough iron supplies. It's hardly surprising though given you've had an eight week long period! You must be exhausted.

Hopefully your referral will help find out what is going on with your period and then that should help with the anaemia Flowers

What is making you think it is cancer?

Sorry, I forgot to say I'm not a doctor either. Just long term anaemic!
