Optician referral worry

Hope sombody can offer some comfort.

My dr said it would be sensible to get an eye test following an issue with increased blood pressure. (I think was caused by anxiety)

So i go along to my normal optician, eyesight fine, but said there was a lesion on back of my eye. Possibly a "sunspot" but worth getting checked out as in a delicate part of my eye.

So lm worrying that it might be somthing serious. My surgery have received the referal but are hardly rushing me through. Im worried that if it is somthing nasty then all this waiting around will be an issue. Its been a week already amd they said it may be amother 2 before i get my appt.

If they thought it was serious they would refer you under the two week wait (and even then it most probably would be nothing to worry about).

My DH was referred to hospital after a routine eye examine and the doctor at the hospital said no treatment was necessary.
