dh now has various allergies to medications. at present his old medic alert doesnthave these details on it, and the subscription wasnt renewed. when he gets transplanted, there will be so much more information. so which will take prioty, the fact he is transplant patient, or the medication allrgies?

He will have to carry a steroid card when he has his transplant which alerts anyone to give him steroids before they try to treat him for anything. That will have all his meds on and numbers of where to ring to get info about his case.HTH how is he btw?Are things any better?

misdee · 16/05/2007 22:45

lol cali, i would get it tattooed on his arm, but he would bleed due to the anti-coags lol.

thanks for the tip about the card just really want to get him something that is visable as well, and with back up on phones of up to date list of his meds after transplant.

he is doing ok, still in pain, started hypnotherepy today

Could you get a bracelet saying something along lines of 'Important medical history and multiple drug allergies - see card in wallet'? Or would that be plain daft? Don't know much about these things. At least then he would have something on his person to point people in the right direction.
