For endometriosis excision?

I had a diagnostic lap with excision and ablation of what he found. I was under for about 1 hour 20.

Sadly, I don’t think he got all of it as the pain persists... but that’s another story! In general, I think people have some great successes from this op.

Best of luck!

Yes I had the exact same op 9 days ago and was under for 1hr 30mins.
They found more than he could do as he’s not a specialist, so I’m going to see a specialist for the next op. I’ve got endo in pouch of Douglas and cervix/top of vagina adherent to bowel so they will free that. I think It will probs be around 3hrs 30?!?....
I’m just guessing from what I’ve read about other people’s stories. At least I already had some done last week. I don’t think I could put myself through a diagnostic without any work being done if endo found.
I’m going on Zoladex this week 🤞🏻 to calm everything down xx

@Myboyamelie- what pains are you getting? X

I was having pretty much the same abdo pain as I’d had pre lap. Every day - mostly on the right side and some general ‘burning’ pain across my pelvis. Lower back ache too. So I was put on decapeptyl - think it is similar to zoladex.
That has resulted in a massive flare up of symptoms for me - but my consultant says this is really unusual. I think my body is a bit sensitive to hormones - the pill sent my blood pressure crazy, bled for 18 months on the depo injection and had OC in pregnancy (which I think is caused by a reaction to oestrogen levels).

My flare up caused a horrific period and then the pains instensified. I’m now taking lots of painkillers which are helping but hating the amount of stuff that’s being pumped into my body.

My gyno has treated me privately but has suggested referring me back to the nhs to the specialist endo centre in my city. I think I will take him up on it.

This is such a rubbish illness. I am super fed up. I am sorry that you have to have another op - I hope you are recovering well from your last one xx

@Myboyamelie- definitely get reffered. I’m going to see Mr Alfred Cutner, he is one of the top endo specialists in the country- based in London.
I’m feeling confident Zoladex will work well for me as I respond very well to hormone treatments. I never had any pain/problems on the pill the whole time I was on them so can’t wait to try this injection!!!!!! If it doesn’t work I may even go back on the pill until my next lap for a break xx
