Losing bladder control

I know I need to see the doctor about this and I will but I was wondering if anyone has any advice first. I keep losing bladder control. I feel fine and then get the urge to go so suddenly that I don’t have time to get to the toilet. This is particularly bad in the evenings and I wake at least once overnight to pee. When I do go there’s hardly any urine even though I felt totally desperate. I haven’t had children so not related to birth damage. I do have rheumatoid arthritis and it seems worse during a flare - does anyone know if it could be related to that? Just looking for some advice really. Thanks.

If your spine is affected, then there could be a negative effect on your spinal cord’s ability to carry signals, which would explain it.
