Gout - crying with pain

Had another gout flare up this weekend. I am crying with the pain of it in my foot and can't believe I got it this weekend when the weather is so nice and I lots to do. Can't walk with horrendous pain but know I just have to wait until it subsides. Does anyone have any remedies for faster relief? Ice doesn't seem to do anything at all and I can't take ibuprofen!

My mum suffers with this terribe. Have you discovered its trigger? My mum has to completley avoid chocolate so avoid a fare up x

I think you need to see your gp/your consultant to talk about treatment options.

My dad suffers terribly with gout, he has found the only way to get it under control is with a really strict diet all the time.

Some people say cherry juice helps, I don’t know if it does but I guess anything’s worth a try

You need to see a dr and get a course of steroids. Then after that there are various tablets that can prevent flare ups.
