I have been lucky lately St George-I have not had an attack for some years now. An optician told me that attacks can disappear once you are past 40 (as I am!) but don't know it this is true or not.

I'm 41 so he lied, the swine!

Hi get the medication now before it is worse and they do hurt him!!! Touch wood I have not had an attack for about 8 years but in my 20's I had constant attacks of it. Most times with me the steroids did not work and I had to have the injections, one time into the eyeball and another time into the eye socket underneath the eye - neither very pleasant I can tell you!!

I had all sorts of tests and they never established the underlying cause. I know someone who had it for 20 yrs plus then was diagnosed with spondilitis.

It really is the most painful thing I have ever suffered!
