Breast lump 10 weeks postpartum

So I’m 10 weeks postpartum and have found a lump in my left breast. I have been to GP this morning and he examined me and has said that he is referring me for an urgent breast clinic appointment. Has anyone else had this? If so what am I to expect at this appointment and how long will I wait for the appointment? I also suffer from postnatal anxiety and am subscribed Sertaline but all this is not helping with my anxiety.

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

I am no expert but I think it’s a good idea to keep in mind that it could be a milk duct issue, abscess or something else like that. Try not to assume the worst. Even if you aren’t breastfeeding the milk stays around for a while. Either way, best to check it out, so it’s good to get the appointment at the clinic. Best wishes.
