C-section

Just wondered if anyone had any advice.
Had my little boy by c-section 10 weeks ago. First week was fine but ended up with an infection and had various antibiotics over 4 weeks. Antibiotics stopped as infection had gone but it's still not healed. I've been back the doctors but they've just said to let it heal on it's own, keep it dry etc.. I had two holes, one of which is nearly healed but they still weep a bit and it gets a bit crusty (tmi) as I have a lovely pouch. Just wondered if anyone could recommend anything to get it to heal quicker?

I got given antibiotic cream to clear mine up as I developed a slight infection. I believe I got prescribed fusidic acid. I used it for 2 days and it cleared up no problems! If you've got holes in your csection then it sounds like it has split and may need to get it restitched. Have you told your midwife/Health Visitor? They can get you in to get it sorted it out.

HV just told me to go back to the doctors which I did and then just said it will close on it's own... just a bit fed up as I want to go to exercise classes but it still stings every now and then.

It can take months to heal up. The holes are probably not that much open then and will just close on its own like you said but if you're worried I would give your hv a ring anyway.
