To cut a long story short at my 32 week scan my son was found to have hydronephrosis and a hydro ureter. We were meant to be followed up immediately after his birth but the hospital were just an absolute shambles. At four months old he was rushed into hospital as he was pale, lethargic and whimpering in pain with a temperature of 39.2 he had also been feeding badly earlier in the day. Turns out that the hydronephrosis was still present and he had an upper UTI. He's 11 months old and been subjected to numerous tests and he had a DMSA last week. I got the results yesterday but I don't really know how badly this will affect him in the long term. His right kidney is 71% function and his left 29%. Does anyone have experience of this at these kind of percentages and have their babies lived normal pain free lives? TIA
