Pain in back but not back pain

Anyone have any idea what this can be? For the past 5 days, with increasing frequency, I'm getting what I can only describe as a spasm of pain in one spot on my lower right side/back. Lasts for about 30 seconds then goes. It's so painful when it happens and is always in the same area. Any idea what it could be? Paracetamol isn't helping.

When I get that, I have pneumonia. When some people have that it's renal colic. For other people, it's their gallbladder. Or some people have just pulled an intercostal muscle.

We're not going to be able to work out which of those, if any, over the internet. You probably need to try speaking to an actual health care professional in real life...

I'm DEFINATELY going to be making a gp appt tomorrow (so hopefully see one by the end of the week!) but just thought if it was something obvious that I've not thought of there could be something I could do in the meantime. It's like the intense, deep, pain of gallstones but not that (had my gallbladder removed). And not low/central enough to be back pain. Is v odd - and painful! Happened about 25 times today, so increasing in frequency 😩

Kidney infection gives you back pain too. So maybe bring a sample to doc. Usually would have a temperature though.

Good idea to take sample as can never do one under pressure! I've had kidney infections before and the pain is in the right area but I've got none of the burning pee/temperature/feeling awful that normally comes with it. Is v odd!
