DS2 had grommets insertion this morning , general anthestic , recovered well and we were home at lunch time.

He was bouncing around and full of life this afternoon and now has just gone off to sleep like someone has switched the 'off' button.

Is that normal after a general ?

If so wouldn't mind some of it myself

Absolutely, perfectly normal! Well, at least thats what my dd did when she had general to have teeth out.

At least you didn't have an anthastetic tantrum - we had one at 2 1/2 from a ga for grommits - ended up strapped down in her pram flailing but after that she ate 12 potatoes! So much for not being hungry.

He's worn me out this afternoon ,obviously not in any pain ! amzing what two chocolate biscuits and a cup of orange squash does for recovery at the hospital !
