Smoking and what to do with your hands

I haven't stopped long, only a few days which means the nicotine should be out of my system, but my hands are really confused. I automatically go to get one/smoke then realise there's not one there and it's like I'm weakly conducting an orchestra with a hand groping around before I twig there's no cigarette.

Anyone else had this? Could you do anything or did you just bear with it?

I used to play with a ponytail band when my hands got that bored fidgety way but i also had the nicorette inhalator when I first stopped

Well done - I'm not very far along, just cold Turkey. To be fair I've tried to stop before with the inhalator so I guess it occupies the hands.

I was expecting a RAWWRR for nicotine not confused hands Confused. Right I'll try to find something.

Thanks!

Well done!. I started knitting to keep my hands busy, and I think it helped.
