LLETZ - looking for some advice/first-hand experiences!

I'm due to get LLETZ treatment on Wednesday for abnormal cells (non-cancerous etc just been abnormal for the past 3 years and not changing or going away on their own).

My consultant has advised that it's a very small area at the neck of my cervix, but obviously the thought of the actual procedure itself isn't that pleasant and wondered what others experiences of it were.

I'm also due to run a 1/2 marathon and perform in a dance show 4.5 weeks after the procedure. I mentioned this when I got the appointment through and they didn't seem to think this was a problem but from reading other forums etc there's mixed opinions on when it's safe to exercise. My consultant indicated around 10 days with zero exercise.

Thanks in advance Smile

I had LLETZ a few years ago and, apart from the actual treatment, I can't remember anything long-lasting afterwards, certainly not more than a couple of weeks.
Caveat - I'm not a runner and the most I would have been doing at the time in terms of exercise was going to the gym and cycling.
