Will DH be alright next week?

WWYD? DH is suffering from mild concussion and whiplash - headaches, dizziness and backache. He's been signed off work all of next week but is up and about most days although he needs a good sleep in the afternoon, is anxious about driving and can't manage more than short trip out somewhere (if I drive).

I'm due to go away for a work trip next week for two or possibly three nights. We have a childminder who picks up DD - aged 5 from school, does her dinner and gives her a bath before bed, and we were thinking of asking her if she could come in the mornings as well to get DD dressed and take her to school.

Aside from that DH might have to take the dog for a couple of walks round the block but we have a big garden and a helpful neighbour who could probably take him a few times.

I can't decide whether DH will be totally fine as he'll get to rest and take it easy all day and is starting to get slightly better, or whether it's a really bad idea me going away. It's not a work trip I can reschedule and is important but DH and DD come first and if they need me, I won't go.

What would you do?
