Urgent advice needed....DD has a bad cold and temp, she can't sleep because..

she has really itchy ears, inside her ear canal. Is there anything we can do to help it? She has had calpol for her temperature but I don't think medicine will help anyway. She's downstairs with us because she can't sleep but she's soooo tired poor thing PLEASE, any ideas?

Some piriton syrup?

Do you think that would help then...she's in a right state...

IF you've got nurofen give her that, as it should sort the ears out, the only other thing I can think of, is giving her ears a quick wash out?

Thanks. She's saying now that it hurts too as well as being itchy so I've given her neurofen (bit reluctant to try piriton as last time she threw it up...she doesn't like it rather than is allergic to it) Oh I hate it when dc are poorly

Try medised - it's an anti-histamine like piriton although not as strong.

another vote here for medised. Bloody marvellous stuff
whoever invented it deserves a nobel peace prize!
