cant get anyone to watch dh and its raining so he cant go out, do you think the docs will do a house call? dd1 says her chest feels all tangly, and i can feel under dd3 ribs is crackly.

both have had coughs since yesterday. dd1 says it hurts.

Has she got a temp or any other symptoms too? The problem with house calls is that the GP only has a bag of stuff he comes with. You will probably have to go out and get the antibiotics if he decides to prescribe them anyway.

Rubbish situation though, poor you hope they are better soon - and it stops raining too

Is it the emergency surgery or is it through your own Gps?

I would have thought your own Gp would know you well enough to just come out but anpther one may not.I would request one anyway and just point out the problem (i'm assuming no carers/MIL today?)

misdee · 13/05/2007 16:43

no carers/mil working ithink.

both have had temps on and off, and very listless.

its a clinic, so no guarentee it will be our own GP.

well no neb, thank goodness, but dd1 is in the throes of an infection, dd3 isnt but needs to be kept an eye on for any changes, atm her chest is clear.

Glad to hear no neb , I hated them when I was little.

I remeber the old ones with a foot pump and my dad and the Gp pumping it for me

Do they have asthma?

My dd2 has a chest infection atm, she's really crackly and wheezy and having awful coughing fits - got some antibiotics last friday.

I worry that she'll have asthma as i have it, and she seems prone to wheezing and gets croup all the time. I really hope she grows out of it, i can't relax when she's wheezy.

Horrible that feeling when you take too many puffs of ventolin and get palpitations - done that when wheezy. Must be awful with a heart condition and asthma.

dd1 was dx with asthma when she was 2, now she's nearly 5 she's not taking any steroids or ventolin and hasn't had any wheezing or coughs for a year - really hoping she's grown out of it, but dd2 seems to be getting worse.
