Anyone else had a lump removed from their lip?

I saw my GP about a lump on my lip on may 1st, he thinks its OK but if still there on June 1st I will ahve to be referred to have t removed. Its been there 2.5 months now, and is not reducing at all despite antibiotics, so will still be there.

I know its nothing much, but squeamish about having a lump remove that is about 1cm X 1cm 1cm from the corner of my lip! it will be right through into my skin for a start and last tiem I had a lump removed it scarred badly (but that was on my knee so skin stretched a lot)

Anyone else ahd similar?

Do a search and check if its called a mucocele. If it is, I had one of those. I was referred to the hospital to have it removed about 4 or 5 months after it appeared. The week before my appointment it started to go down. By the day of my appointment, it had vanished!

I had two separately occuring lumps removed off my eyelids!!!!!!!!
was very squeamish as it was so weird, but in the end it was fine. Got one done nhs and went private on the other, about £200 to avoid a 6mth waiting list. Eyes were a bit sore, but it was not bad at all (and Im a baby!)
Best of luck, push to get it done soon as you can as in my experience they steadily get bigger and will leave a bigger mark.

actuall, I have a bad scar on my left knee from a gash and it is bad because knee skin is so loose...your face will be different, and they will be careful too.

if that made any sense at all ......

The knee was because (apparntly) whenever you walk it flexes- but this is the corner of my moutha nd there's no way I am shutting up that long LOL
!
I had a look at the mucocele pics, not sure- GP thinks it is a cyct but again I am not convinced- mainly as he thought it would burst (TMI) but when I nicked it back along it just bled very heavily
