Urgent does this sound like ibs

My mum suffers from ibs and ive always suffered stomach cramps and direah after eating certain fatty foods.

Went on holiday last week and three days in started experiencing nausea I thought was reated to hormone tablets I was taking to delay my period.

The nausea has continued on and off all week. I stopped the tablets and my periods came.

Today a wave of nausea came over me around 5pm. Since then my stomach has been sore. Since 8pm ive had on and off cripling cramps all over my stomach. No urgency to be sick or do the toilet however I have been burping. When the cramps leave im in dull pain. When the cramp comes its over powering and unbareable.

Ive had trapped wind before so know it can be sore but this is another level. My diet has been extremely poor as I was on holiday eating all the food my body isn't used to.

Im sure the pain is ibs or trapped wind but im having doubts too as it has been so so severe. Literally crying when the pain comes. Its generalized all over my stomach and feels better when I rub it. The burping has stopped and nausea lessened but the pain coming in waves every 5-20 mins.

Any advice.

Sounds like a stomach bug or could
be ibs. Put a hot water bottle on it which should ease the pain.

Sounds like gallstones. The pain is excruciating and localised around the stomach. An attack can be caused by eating fatty foods so if you've been eating badly it's quite likely.
You'll need a scan to get it confirmed but often eating healthily again can stop it reoccurring.

I have also had gallstones and gallbladder removal (as well as having ibs) . OP has described the pain as being over the whole stomach which doesn’t sound like gallstones to me.

I think is a combo of the poor diet on holiday and the period tablets. If me I'd take paracetamol and use hot water bottle and reassess tomorrow.

That is just what a bad flare up for me is like.
Starts off with an uncomfortable stomach and burping/wind.
When the cramps come(almost like contractions) they are very painful and I struggle to stand upright and walk about.
Sometimes I need the loo and this will help but it isn't always the case-sometimes I just have bad cramps and have to ride it out.
Pain moves all over my stomach, sometimes going into my back also.
