I am thinking of having my daughter vaccinated against chicken pox when she turns 1, does anyone have any experiences of this they would be willing to share please?

DS had it done. 2 jabs a month apart, we had MMR first an waited a couple of months after that.
He had no side effects (he got a temp from MMR) and is now 6 and hasn’t had CP.
My main worry is immunity wearingboff in later life, not sure if he’ll need a further booster.

DS had his first chicken pox vaccination just after his 2nd birthday. No side effects and due to go back for second one next month. Well worth it for us. I know of others who have had it and four years on no chicken pox. Apparently it's not routinely offered on NHS to prevent non vaccinated people catching chicken pox/ shingles in later life which is more risky - see link

Hi everyone, thanks for the responses. We are planning to book her in for it.
Sorry to hear of your DS reaction to MMR @HariboIsMyCrack
I hope he has recovered now.
Thanks for the link @nogooddeedgoesunpunished
