Three years ago in September I had a Mirena Coil inserted after I was having VERY heavy periods, passing 2-3 large clots a day and lasting a couple of weeks.
It didn't stop the bleeding so I went onto the pill (Cileste) as well and that stopped the bleeding all except a couple of days of dark spotting.
For the last few months my periods have started to return and I'm up to 2 days a month red blood enough to use my Mooncup followed by 2 weeks of spotting, sometimes quite heavy.
I've asked for an appointment to see the gynecologist as I'm not happy about the amount of hormones I'm taking and am sure they're adding to my inability to lose weight, and Mirena runs out in September anyway.
Has anyone had similar experiences and what fixed it? Maybe Novasure? I'm 47 if that makes any difference.
