Breastfeeding so haven't been having periods. Anyway DD is now 11 months and they have returned with a vengeance. Really heavy compared to before DD changing my pad at least every couple of hours. Wore a big night one last night but still leaked everywhere. Is this normal?

My period returned last week, 18mths after ds was born. I've been breastfeeding. It was seriously heavy. I'm hoping the next one will settle down!

Thanks @melonribenia it seems like it isn't uncommon. I've asked doctor Google aswell. Like you just hoping my next one calms down. Just gone and bought a load of night pads and as the normal ones aren't lasting me an hour. Sorry tmi Blush

If your soaking through a pad in less than an hour this is not normal. You should ring 111.
I don't want to scare you but there was a mnetter who nearly died last year from similar.

Oh dear think I might get it checked out then if it does calm down will ring them soon thanks @scaredofthecity

From what I remember she had a nasty infection, but her main symptom was very heavy bleeding. If you feel in anyway funny please call!

melonribenia · 12/04/2018 21:35

Hope you're ok Op

Thank you @melonribenia I did nearly ring 111 but I think it is calming down now. Just using it as an excuse to do nothing and relax Grin
