Sudden deterioration in eyesight

The last 2 or 3 days my eyesight has deteriorated what feels like a lot to me.
6 weeks ago I had an eye test. Despite the fact I'd been wearing glasses for a few years, I was told my prescription was so small I didn't really need them. I'm more comfortable with them in many situations so still wear them
Have had a cold for about 10 days- lots of sinus pain and 1 bout of eye pain on a flight....
Watching TV now with my glasses on, it's still blurry. Put my oh glasses on, picture looks as sharp as it usually would to me. Neither of us can remember our prescriptions but I know his is a decent bit more.

Should I be worried? Should I wait and see if it goes back to normal when my cold goes?

You might have a little cyst or some other inflammation, possibly linked to the cold symptoms, in one or both eyelids that's causing temporary astigmatism. I'd get it looked at but wouldn't worry with you having had such a recent eye test.

That was my thinking- if they've looked recently they'd have picked up on anything serious. Will see what happens when the cold clears and if I'm not back to normal, make an appointment.
