Smear Test

I’ve tried approx 3 times for a smear test and still no luck. This time, she used different sized speculums but couldn’t reach the cervix and it was too painful. I’m not currently sexually active so I know the chances are low. Has anyone any tips or ideas as to where I could turn next...?

I was given lorazepam from my GP to take following a rape and finding smear tests hard.

I had treatment for ovarian cancer last year and having to suffer through the pain and uncomfortableness, as well as it taking longer has meant I’m better than I was too!

Been reading on another thread where the nurse can’t find the cervix. Could this be the case? She tried multiple times but no luck.

Did you ask her if that was the case? The shape of the cervix can make it tricky sometimes.
