Help with getting calm when flying I am petrified

Does anyone know if my doc will help me with some form medication stop me stressing when getting ready to go on a plane

Mine will prescribe diazepam for me, I just use it for flights. Have also done CBT for it which helped a bit too.

My MIL takes sleeping pills that were prescribed for flying. The drowsy feeling helps her stay calmer

Your GP might prescribe you a beta blocker. I'd prefer that over anything else as you can still drive etc, but you just don't feel the physical effects of anxiety.
