Warning - boring thread alert - foot problems - plantar fascitis - podiatrist?

My sister has plantar fascitis. She has been referred to see a podiatrist on the NHS but has been told it could take months. She's thinking of going private and would like to see someone for a weight bearing assessment rather than a bio mechanical gait assessment. She doesn't want to have ultra sounds and x rays just now. She's hoping that exercise and good footwear /insoles will do the trick.

From looking at threads on Mumsnet some people seem to say it's best to see a physio. We're just wondering what would be the best bet - podiarist, physio or even a chiropodist?

Lastly, any recommendations of someone in the London/Surrey area would be great. Many thanks.
