Smear test

I was wondering whether anybody has had a lletz treatment for pre-cancerous cells and had a reaction to the anesthetic? As soon as it was injected, I had the biggest pounding headache ever imaginable and the doctor wasn't sure why, he gave me another injection to counteract the first which slightly eased the headache, after the procedure, I left and was violently sick all the way home, I went straight to bed when I got in and felt really awefull for about 3 days. I am on propanalol (beta blockers to block my adrenaline receptors due to anxiety) there was adrenaline in the anesthetic injection so not sure whether it was due to this or that I am just sensitive to it. It really frightened me, so much so it has taken me a year and a half to go back for a smear. (It should of been 6 weeks) I am finally going today. I know there is no anesthetic involved in the smear but it took me a while to get over what happened. Anybody had similar experience? Xx
