Difficulty of swallowing

I have had intances where I forgot how to swallow. I try but nothing happens. These have minor things. But couple of days ago I forgot how to swallow when I had mouth full of food. I felt like choking. Eventually I managed to swallow. Same happen day later but it wasn't that bad. I have been on antipsychotic for a while and suspect it could be a cause because I haven't had this probl before but it could be something else.

Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) and oesophageal dysmotility (lack of normal muscle contraction in the gullet, preventing emptying into the stomach) are recognized side-effects of antipsychotics, particularly second-generation drugs such as olanzapine (mhc.cpnp.org/doi/10.9740/mhc.2017.03.056). You should report your experience to whoever prescribed the antipsychotic.

I called gp and told what has been going on. She asked loads of questions and decided that I should take Gaviscon and see if it gets better, and come back if not getting better. She seemed to think it isn't side effect from antipsychotic as it doesn't happen frequently. I don't have heart burn and I won't get those swallowing problems frequently enough that I would consider taking it. I will record these moments to see if there is any pattern first.
