Cancel surgery or go ahead?

I have surgery booked for Wednesday and last week my son got tonsillitis... now I have a sore throat too!

I've been on the waiting list for just over two years for laparoscopy to investigate my fertility issues so to cancel will put me back on the list and probably a long wait. As it was I only got this appt last week at short notice because of a cancellation. I was looking at new year 2019 for the surgery otherwise.

Should I cancel? I wouldn't be able to call till Tuesday anyway and there's no guarantees I have caught tonsillitis it might just be sore because we went swimming today in a very chlorinated pool and it's been super cold this weekend.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Wait and see. There's no need to rush and cancel. If you're still feeling rough on Tuesday, give them a call and see what they say.
