I would appreciate advice on if the below sounds like adhesions. I had a laparoscopy a couple of months ago and had excition of endometriosis and adhesions from the cigmoid colon. I am now feeling constipated and full of trapped wind. I have taken mobicol so everything is soft however, it is soft as i have been taking mobicol, but i struggle to go to the toilet and feel a pulling sensation. I have a simmilar feeling in my hip, i dont think it is muscles as is not aggrivated by movement but i think nerves nay be impacted as i have tingling down my left leg.

You should speak to your GP, sounds like your adhesions and/or endo may have grown back. Although if your endo was excised it’s more likely to be adhesions. I’ve found if it’s excised rather than lasered it takes longer to grow back but adhesions start regrowing immediately following surgery.
I think it’s best to have your doctor address it now rather than wait until it gets worse. Good luck.

Thanks i have mannaged to get an appointment for Thursday with my GP but i am not sure theywill be able to offer much in atelephone appointment.

If adhesions grow back does that mean more surgery?

Sadly, surgery to remove adhesions can create more adhesions. Any surgery can. It's important they make sure your bowel is not sticking to anything as this may be causing the pain when you go to the toilet.Flowers for you.

Thanks
How do they test if the bowel is sticking?

I went for years with an IBS diagnosis. Adhesions were found and removed with the d immediately stopping. It now seems that every period i end up struggling to go to the toilet with a lot of pain. I dont understand why it only happens while on a period.

They will need to do a laparoscopy to be able to see unfortunately. Definitely speak to your GP and ask to be referred back to the gynae who did your surgery. Flowers

Thanks
I had a telephone consultation with my GP last week, they dont think it is adhetions and instead fecal impaction. I havd a face to face appointment on friday so they can examine me. While the first op was fine i am scared in case i need more surgery but cant cope with the pain in my hip when either trying to sleep or go to the toilet.
