CFS/possible anaemia

I have been ill for the last 10 months (severe fatigue, weakness, dizziness, brain fog, RLS etc). I had various tests done when I initially got ill and all came back normal so I was told it was probably Post Viral Fatigue (now CFS) and sent on my way.
I pushed for more tests last week and just got the following. I have an appointment with my GP next week but was hoping someone could help me make sense of them.
It looks like I could be anaemic but slightly confused about the high folate.
If I am anaemic could it be the source of all/most of my symptoms??

Serum vitamin B12 level 853 ng/L [150.0 - 900.0]
Serum ferritin level 6 ng/mL [10.0 - 210.0]
Serum folate level > 23.4 ug/L [3.1 - 19.9]
Haemoglobin concentration 108.0 g/L [110.0 - 150.0]
Haematocrit 0.341 l/l [0.36 - 0.46]
Mean cell volume 79.3 fL [80.0 - 101.0]
Mean cell haemoglobin level 25.1 pg [27.0 - 32.0]

Other results (TSH, Vit D, white blood count etc) were normal

Thanks in advance

Yes, you're looking like a person who needs an iron infusion as a matter of some urgency. Not only do you have very little available iron, you have virtually no iron stores either. This could take years to fix with tablets. If your GP won't play ball, request a referral to a haematologist.

When will they stop telling people they have CFS or ME or fibro when they clearly have issues that are easily fixable? It happened to me too.

Thanks time. The gp marked my appointment as 'non urgent' so I'm guessing I am going to get fobbed off. Thankfully I have private health insurance so will ask to be referred on and hopefully get some help

You shouldn't get fobbed off by your GP, your results show clearly you have iron deficiency anaemia. You'll probably be prescribed a course of oral Iron sulphate. You'll be sent for another FBC +/- Iron Stores after 3 months. You should be feeling much better then.
