Why am I sick all the time?

I'm 23 years old, a very healthy BMI, healthy eating, do a bit of exercise but not mad on it.

I am on my fifth cold this year. I have always been the one who gets colds but for some weird reason I never get any other illnesses. Like if a sick bug is going round, I usually won't get it (from adulthood), I've never had a UTI, I just get colds. Full blown, head dying, can't see, nose running, colds.

I thought at first it was just germs as it was winter, but now it's just happening all the time and I feel like I've got the remnants of a cold almost every week but then it'll disappear.

I've had blood tests- these always come back with a high white blood cell count (to which the GP says 'you must be fighting off an infection') and I'm deficient in Vit D as are most. I take my vitamins and I'm trying to be careful of being around germs but I'm getting ill.

Any idea? I'm sick again today, nose is blocked, head hurting.

I should probably mention that I don't take time off work for this, I occasionally will work from home to prevent spreading but I won't take a sick day as the corporate world looks down on this. But I always just rest on the weekends if I've got a cold.

Anyone have anything similar?

I've no idea but me and my family have all been exactly the same this year and have all remarked we've never had a year like it for illness

Use Vicks 'First Defence' and see how it goes. I used to get colds and they would drag on for ages.
Now I use the spray as soon as I feel the 'tickle' and even though it doesn't always stop it from starting, it makes it much shorter and less severe.

Yup, us too. I normally go 5 or 6 years without a head cold and this year I've been utterly, utterly riddled with various lurgies both mundane and bizarre - climaxing in some kind of lurgy sufficiently insidious that an unremarkable intramuscular steroid shot ended up giving me full blown meningitis. I even got a strep infection IN MY EYES out of absolutely nowhere a few months back.

Weirdest year ever for bugs.
