dh, stress and burst blood vessels in his eye

dh is quite stressed atm, plus his ability to deal with stress does seem to have decreased over the years i have known him. a couple of months ago, he got really stressed about something and a blood vessel popped in his eye. it cleared up after a week, and things calmed down again, so haven't really thought about it since, but tonight, he's a bit wound up. and its happened again, his eye is all red, so i am now a bit worried.

anyone else had this happen?, i want him to see the gp about it but he just shrugs it off.

I'm no doctor but it sounds to me like he has high blood pressure due to the stress.
He needs to see a GP as it could affect his health.
If he is really stubborn about going, could you call the nurse at the surgery and ask her advice or get her to speak to your dh?
Maybe if he hears it from the horses mouth so to speak!
Stress isn't good for anyone.

just before we had dd, he used to go swimming every morning. he is overwieght, but we had one of those home blood pressure testing thingys when i got pg and his bp was always low. but he worries me atm, he flies of the handle at the slightest thing, gets so wound up sometimes for no reason.

i will make him an appointment to see the nurse at our gp's next week, they are easier to get appointments with, gp can be a wait of up to 3 weeks

am trying to persuade him to take up swimming again, he's a strong swimmer and its good exercise for his heart and lungs.
