I know I should go to the GP but honestly it's a nightmare to get an appointment.

For e a while I've had temple tenderness and occasionally my ear with sound muffled for a few seconds. I know I've been stressed over the past few years but did feel things were getting better, I've started a new job which involves long periods of concentration, lots of telephone work so I wear a headset. This week I woke to find I couldn't clench my teeth without feeling pain deep in my ear on the side I wear the earpiece . My ear feels 'full' and the area blow at the joint feels sore and hurts when I yawn.

Now my teeth won't close properly, they feel misaligned and it's starting to annoy me. I've no pain if I don't try and clench my teeth, no fever, feel ok apart from that so I don't think it's am ear infection. Dr google tells me it's TMJ and to rest it and take ibuprofen. Does it sound like a TMJ issue and will it settle itself?
