Am I doomed to have keratosis pilaris forever? Blush Or are there any remedies for it? Sad

I found salicylic acid (sounds scarier than it is, really it's an exfoliating moisturiser) really good for it - didn't get rid of it completely but made it noticeably better in time for my wedding Smile

I ordered it off Amazon

@DoraNora Would it be possible to provide the Amazon link? I’ve heard of salicylic acid acid but always thought it was an ingredient in face washes, anti-spot creams etc. I didn’t know you could buy it on its own.

TIA Smile

Spirulina. I have had it for years since my first child. Have been taking spirulina mixed in apple juice in the morning for the last 6 weeks & my arms are almost completely clear without any creams.

I don't know if I had proper KP or just lumpy upper arms, but gentle regular buffing with a shower scrunchie smoothed mine out

MrsMoastyToasty · 12/03/2018 21:22

I found mine improved when I started eating a gluten free diet. However it wasn't immediate.

Another Ameliorate fan hear, it’s a miracle worker for my KP and dry skin.

The salicylic acid i use has the brand name 'amlactin' - should come up when you search. X

Mine has greatly reduced since starting on a gluten free diet. Like MrsMoastytoasty, it isn't an instant cure and if I eat gluten it does flare up within a couple of weeks but I have seen a big improvement.
