Third degree tear

Sorry if TMI but am just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

I had a third degree tear 8 weeks ago today and have the last few days had a small amount of blood when wiping after a bowel movement. However today I had so much after a bowel movement that I thought it was my period!

I just want to know if anyone has had the same problem as me and if I should worry. Can't phone a doctor till tomorrow now 😫

Hi I had a third degree tear first baby and a second degree in the second and both times I had anal fissures which bled but were also very painful.

It's possible you may have a bit of trauma to this area but a doctor can definitely have a look and advise you.
Have you had your six weeks check up? This is something they should be following up on when you go.

I had a third degree year and had small amounts of bleeding for about 3 months but nothing heavy. I think if it's changing/ got worse I would definitely very it checked. You don't want to mess about down there and have long lasting issues.

I had to have the tear checked in hospital as opposed to the usual gp check. It wasn't pleasant but at least it was looked at by an expert.
