Joint pain just before period

Anyone else experience joint pain in the week or so before their period?

It tends to be mainly in my wrists, but I'm not sure if joint pain is fairly normal due to the hormonal changes or as I've read could be linked to arthritis or fibromyalga.
I'm generally achy joint wise and had issues in childhood, but blood tests have never shown the markers for arthritis.

I get this and I have joint hypermobility syndrome. It is caused by the increase in progesterone. My pain is always far worse in the week running up to my period.

Yes - in the last 10 years I’ve had carpal tunnel syndrome, torn cartilage in knee and disc based back pain - in each case very much worse before period to the point I’m maxing pain killers. A few days later after af pain much more manageable with less medication.

I get it in my ankles, no diagnosed conditions but I do regularly get joint pain in my fingers and hips. Only in my ankles just before my period though.

I have hypermobility syndrome too and my joints get painful the week before my period.

Yes, general joint pain all over. Always worse in last few days before period and a very reliable indicator that it is due.

I've always thought it was related to water retention due to hormonal changes?
