Hi,

I posted about blood after sex/I’m mucus when ovulating. Went to doctors today and doctor examined me. Took swabs. Says there are white spots and red patches. Referring me under 2 week cancer wait.
Wasn’t expecting it. Don’t know what to think. Any one share any experience? Thanks in advance

It's red tape. Be glad you aren't having to wait 6 months. It's nothing to do with him thinking it's cancer, it's just that any odd bleeding is fast tracked because there will be some very few cases mainly in women over 50, where it is serious. Did you post this a couple of days ago as well? It is possible a cervical ectropion which is common and nothing to do with cancer, and maybe cervical polyps again which are benign. Or cervical warts which are a type of herpes/genital wart.

Yes, what Polly said. They refer symptoms which could be cancer under the two week rule, to exclude cancer as quickly as possible. It doesn't mean they think it is a likely explanation for your symptoms. There are lots of possibilities. Hopefully it'll be something harmless and they'll be able to get it sorted quickly for you Flowers
