Hey. I'm 5 months on from having my second baby via c section. When I had bubs I had slightly low iron levels. I took tablets for a few weeks however I stopped as it was making going to the toilet very sore and well things were coming out black!! Once I stopped the tablets I was getting overflow so I'd been to the toilet then I'd go back later and have a little bit of mess in my underwear. Went to doc and she's prescribed me with sachets and tablets.

I also have a sore back and side, and once a week for the last three weeks I've had 💩 once a week! Weird! The sachets and tablets have helped stop the overflow! Also I get a little blast of pins and needles on my chest but it's like a second then it stops! Is this to do with my sore back? 😩🤔

I'm a worrier and I think being on maternity gives me a lot of time to think. Could it be the big C?! Are my symptoms IBS..... I'm driving myself nuts googling everything....

You can a blockage and seepage so maybe you never got unblocked? The black poop would worry me - that sounds like blood. Your back can affect this yes but not so suddenly. I'd go back to the GP.

The iron tablets do cause black poo. What are the names of the sachets and tablets?
How long have you had the side and back pain? Which side is sore is it your left side, is it under the ribs or where is the pain? That could be something different to the poo thing.
Sounds like doc gave you something to sort of dry up the poo a bit and it's doing its work too well. So it could be constipation now. Yeah so go back to doctor and see what they say.

The black poo was the iron tablets. It stopped as soon as I came off them. I'm on laxido and senna tablets. I was at doctor today and she said that I am not showing any red signs that would worry here but I'm going for blood tests and a poo test just to check since I'm so anxious. It's right hand side that's achy. Kinda middle of back!

I didn't know that about iron tablets. Let us know how you get on.
