Like a cold, but not...

You know how when you get a cold you normally have a very runny nose for the first couple of days, then (sorry if TMI) much thicker mucus and more of a stuffed-up nose?

In the last couple of months I've had that "middle of a cold" nose for a few days more than once without ever having had the beginning. I don't feel ill and I haven't got a cough or a sore throat either, although I sound a bit croaky sometimes. I'm not all that worried about it but it's kind of annoying. I'm over 50 and have never knowingly been allergic to anything in my life, so I'd be surprised if it was allergy related.

I just wondered if this was a recognised virus that lots of people have had, or if there is anything in particular that I might be able to do to get rid of it...
