Whooping Cough - Help

My DH has whooping cough and I was wondering if any of you have any tips or ways to help sooth the way. He is feeling pretty rough with all the horrendous coughing.

(Also selfishly have any of your family had whooping cough and you not get it - watching him suffer and thinking I have to go through this is giving me the wibbles!)

I had whooping cough when 6 months pregnant - not much fun.
I caught it from someone at work, but I hadn't been vaccinated due to possible complications as a baby. DH didn't catch it from me.
GP gave me ab's but didn't really help - nothing really did, but being Pg there wasn't much I could have. I just tested as much as I could and had to wait it out.

Oh my that must have been horrendous being pregnant as well. It is one nasty illness but reassuring that your DH did not get it. One of us needs to be able to keep the DC feed.

Thank you for your reply.
