Hi, does anyone know of a gift we can send to our class teacher who is going to be off long-term with a health issues. Can't send flowers or chocs but when the school has a total of 29 we really want it to be a thoughtful gift that we can post!

Do you know what type of health issue/how it will affect her? And what's your budget?

You wont believe what I found for a friend recently and she absolutely loved it - its a solid marble heart that sits in your hand that's called a 'heart hug'. It comes in a lovely box with a 'sending you a heart hug' label. I bought it online at Marbletree and it was under £15 so if youve got 29 at your school, thats hardly anything for people to contribute.

What about an amazon voucher then she can choose a book to read or dvd to watch?

Have the kids made cards already? If not I am sure that would bring a smile to her face. I'm off sick at the moment and the card from my beaver group really cheered me up. Amazon voucher would be great idea as a present - it's boring being ill.

Thank you!!
Yes I agree nothing beats a handmade/drawn card - they are busy making them at the moment. I'll suggest to the mums the voucher but I've also had a look at the idea of sending the Marbletree 'hug' and it's a lovely idea as you can also engrave the heart it so that would be quite personal from the kids, maybe get we could get two one for the kids to stay in the classroom and one for her. Anyway thanks again everyone.
