Today I suddenly developed a pain in my left side going round to my back. I was worried at first that it was kidney infection but I don't have any other symptoms. It is mostly just tender to touch but sometimes hurts when I move. Not sure if it's gastric pain as I have been to the loo a few times today and I feel quite bloated. I'm also recovering from an awful virus and not fully back to normal yet. Any ideas? It's really stressed me out and have no option but walk in centre. I hate being ill on a Friday 😞

Went to walk in centre and they couldn't tell me why I have pain in my side but they did tell me I have an ear infection!
The pain is still there, anyone experienced anything like it?

I actually went to the walk in centre as it was worrying me. They couldn't tell me why I had this pain but it is better than it was yesterday.
It sort of starts at the top left of my stomach and goes all the way round to my back. Tender to touch. I'm wondering if it was some strange IBS type symptom.

I suspect this might be a stomach acid problem or gastritis. Were you taking a lot of pain killers etc while you had the virus? Or were your eating habits different - as in not eating much or were you throwing up a bit?
You could try Gaviscon 3 times a day and see if that helps. If it is worse when your stomach is empty that's probably it. You could also try a glass of milk when its hurting.

Hi, yes I was taking lots of paracetamol but not too much ibuprofen as it can give me the runs, which I ended up with anyway. I suspected it was something digestive but me being me panicked and assumed the worst as usual! It's gone now thankfully but I've been getting more and more ibs symptoms lately and I suspect it's down to being exhausted and unfit. I have 2 dd's, the second of which is twenty months and never slept through so feeling like an empty shell most of the time :/
