When I had this, the GP gave me Prochlorperazine which took away the nausea and helped me get back on my feet. It’s absolutek awful so I hope you feel better soon.

I had it 25 years ago, was off sick for nearly 5 months. BUT I had a very severe case. A friend of mine had it a few years ago, was off for 3 weeks. We both recovered fine, although very occasionally if tired or extremely run down, it comes back - but not enough to warrant any time off work. A couple of early nights sorts it out for me.

Get plenty of rest and you should be back to normal soon.

Had it twice. Horrendous. Felt permanently hungover like my brain was filled with cotton wool. Also had anxiety attacks as a result of the dizzy spells. First episode took 6 months to recover fully and I was left with heightened autonomic response. Couldn't be under fluorescent lights couldn't walk in patterned carpets. Horrid time. I've never been on a fairground ride since (2007)
