PMS suddenly sore boobs

AnotherPlaceAnotherTime · 25/02/2018 18:31

I’ve always suffered quite badly from pms. However, these last few months my boobs have been almost unbearably sore for about a week before my period is due.

Is there anything I can take to help with this? I’ve read about evening primrose- has anyone had any experience of this?

Also, what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance.

Exercise is the answer. Take up running and your PMS should almost disappear.

Thanks for your reply. I do exercise regularly but not running. Is it specifically running that will help? I’m desperate. I can’t even move my arms hardly.

I have this for the past 9 years. For two weeks every month. I tried EPO but it didn't work for me. My GP told me that in France they recommend a progesterone cream which is not available here. I have lost weight, given up caffeine, sugar, alcohol, taken up exercise even but nothing has cured it. Losing weight (7lbs) may have helped a small bit (as in, it has only been one week of pain this month)

Starflower oil has been recommended too but I have not tried it

Thank you beaty I will look at starflower.

I ran OP. That was my exercise of choice. I ran marathons, so trained every day and ran regular 10kms. It did not help me but obvs did help Mike so maybe worth a shot. Nurofen helped when you do have to run with sore boobs on board!
