8 year old developing boobs

I have noticed that my 8 year old DD is developing little boobs, ie her nipples are starting to produce. She is just eight. I feel a bit worried that she’s starting puberty early. Should I put her in some sort of crop top for support? Anyone else had any experience of this with this age?

Can't help I'm afraid, but my 8 year old boy is getting pubic hair! Not much mind, but it's there. That freaked me out a bit. He's really proud of it!

Those stretchy sports bra things are quite good for that age I think. You can get them in primark in loads of cool colours and you can get ones that have a bit of padding in if she's conscious of nipples showing (I don't mean like deep plunge and pushup padding, more like thick lining). Unless they're growing really big I wouldn't have thought you need anything too bra-y

Puberty is starting younger and younger, periods at 9 is still young but becoming more common. It’s likely the result of us being better nourished and therefore growing bigger and taller than we have in the past, but if you’re concerned take her to the GP. Is she taller than her peers?

My daughter started developing boobs about 8/9 and I put her into sports crop tops until she needed a bit more support. She is now 14 and size 34G Shock I'm hoping she doesn't grow too much more as they get more and more expensive after G cups!!

8 years old is within the 'normal' range for starting puberty, medically, so try not to worry about that. If she was under 8, there would be concerns, but 8 is classified as normal.

There are crop tops and bras for this age group in all the major shops including M&S, which give either coverage for comfort and reassurance, or or support if necessary. The stage between breast buds and actual breasts can be about two years, though, so don't panic yet.

We started Dd with an aa bra at eight. She's nearly eleven, well into a b cup but still no periods though.

8 is not early for breast development to start. It could be several years before her periods start. My Dd did wear racer back style crop tops around this age and started periods age 11. She wears 32D at age 14. Look up Tanner stages of development as it tells you the stages of puberty

Thanks so much for the replies. I will get some of the crop tops from primark for her. She is tall for her age I weighed her yesterday and she is in the healthy range for her height. She’s not really ready to talk about it but is happy for crop tops!
