So I went to a gym induction, to find that I had randomly lost more than half a stone ( before Christmas was just under 9 1/2 stone, I am 5’4” and size 12).
I am one of those people who don’t have to diet or exercise to stay slim, so this much weight loss was a bit of a shock. I have been pretty much 9 1/2 stone for about 5 years. Last year I was probably the fittest I have ever been in my entire life, going to the gym regularly, but not losing weight. I haven’t drank alcohol for over a year, so I know it is not down to that. I have also had a break from the gym, which is why a new induction! I blamed the machine, then weighed myself at home, to discover that I have lost weight.

So I did what everyone else does and consult Dr Google. I suffer from depression and anxiety anyway, it has been worse recently, but I put that down to Winter, things being a bit stressful anyway, pmt.

I am also feeling wiped out generally, but putting that down to working with small children and feeling like I am on the edge of a cold starting.

I have a doctors appt in March, and I am going to ask for blood tests.

I am just wondering others experiences, and whether I am barking up the wrong tree.

I diagnosed myself with under active thyroid, rapid weight gain, tiredness and general feeling shitty.

I asked for blood test and the doctor asked me what for? I basically told them I had googled my results.
The doctor did try to give other explainations for my symptoms but on my return appointment she said I was right.
We do know our bodies the best. No harm in asking
