cool flannel wrapped in an frozen gelpack

are there different eye drops to take? maybe see if a different brand works better.

bozza · 03/05/2007 08:49

Has the doctor prescribed those? I would definitely take her otherwise.

fakeblonde · 03/05/2007 08:50

Have tried the cold flannel but perhaps not cold enough.
Doctor prescribed them yes, but that was years ago.

I am taking DS back to the doctor because he is due for a review of his medication. Do you think that would be worthwhile?

fakeblonde - how often are you using the drops? They really do have to be used 4 times a day to make a difference - and use them even if she has a good day with her eyes as the effect has to build up.

Horrible isn't it?

If you can wrap some ice cubes up in a flannel, that will help as its really cool.

yes, go back to the GP. I imagine she's rubbing her eyes (don't blame her, I do the same sometimes) which is probably making them worse too. For some reason, I find the nasal sprays make my eyes react less so maybe the GP will come up with a different treatment.

Ok thanks everyone.
Will def take her to gp.
Yes she is rubbing her eyes and will check how often she is using the drops.
Shes 15 so she does itherself and havent asked her how often.Good idea to carry on even on good days.
